What are some things that you can be doing to “welcome” people to our church?

"Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." Romans 15:7

“And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? On Sunday, November 16th, Pastor Mike emphasized the importance of Welcoming believers & unbelievers into our church. He used Acts 2:5-13 & Romans 15:1-7 to encourage us to look at ways that we can welcome others for the glory of God.

"Lord, Send Me!" is the theme of Missions Emphasis Month this October 12-November 2. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8

It is a bit misleading because it seems to indicate that we are waiting for God to send us, but God has already sent us. The question for us to consider is "Am I going?" Another consideration is "How Am I Going?" We each play different parts in the work of missions, but we need to be continually yielding ourselves to be used by God how He wants.

Does he want us to go to a mission field? How does He want us to be a witness locally? How does God want me to be serving and supporting in the local church? How can we be praying and encouraging our missionaries? How are we giving financially to support the work of missions globally and is God leading me to do more? God has sent us; are we going?
