What are you facing today that you can see God's hand leading you through? What in your life has God given you the strengthen and courage to face through His strength? When you are facing trouble, struggles or trials do you thank the Lord with joy and praise His name?

Psalm 27:6 our memory verse for June says, "And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord."

This verse focuses our hearts on the praise and joy that we give to the Lord for His protection and faithfulness in our lives. Christ will give us more than we can handle on our own, so we look to His strengthen and depend on Him in all circumstances.

Join us in continuing to memorize Psalm 27:1-6
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh,
my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall.

Why do formal training for caring for the souls of one another? Is formal training needed to practice caring for one another as the Bible teachers? No.

The command to care for one another was given long before NorthCreek Counseling Training (NCT) or any other formal training began. However, attending NCT can be exceptionally helpful.

Here are three ways that NCT will help you:
1) learn and understand biblical truths regarding our soul,
2) personal growth and development as the Word renews your mind,
3) help for building up one another in the Scripture

Few will be involved in formal counseling, but all of us are to be caring for one another. Join us at NCT to grow deeply in the Word.

On Sunday, May 18th, as we continued our Biblical View of Mental Health focus, Mark Asire spoke about "Peace in a Broken World" from Acts 17:1-9. He used this story to take us to 1 Thessalonians 1:1 where Paul says "...grace and peace to you." He focused our hearts on how God shows us grace and gives us lasting peace. He used Philippians 4:6-8 to remind us that God's peace is not the absence of conflict but is trusting God in all circumstances.

Where are you looking for protection? Are you trusting God for safety, peace and rest?

Psalm 27:5 our memory verse for May says, "For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock."

This verse reminds us that no matter what we are facing in life, God is always present. He is protecting us and guiding us through whatever struggle, disappointment, trial or discouragement we are facing. He give us peace and rest even in the midst of the the difficulties of life. We look back at verse 4 and see that our desire to dwell in the Lord’s presence is a catalyst for this protection. Our desire to trust the Lord and allow Him to guide our lives is the place we find His peace, rest and protection.

Join us in continuing to memorize Psalm 27:1-5
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

On Sunday, May 11th, Pastor focused our hearts on how we can be "Restored in Our Grief" with a look at grief through the lens of scripture and that grief is a normal part of our life. He reminded us not to try and hurry through grieving with this statement, "Do not attempt to rush grief. It is God-given to address the sorrows of this world." "Awareness of suffering in those around us is part of the biblical mandate to function as the church and as believers (followers of Christ). It is not just for a month, but it is to be the way of life."

The stigma with the soul is real, even in the church. Too often we act as though we are unaffected by the world around us.

"May is “Mental Health Awareness” month in our society (since 1949). The intent of this emphasis is to raise awareness of mental health, reducing the stigma for those who struggle with mental health issues, and for promoting support for those affected by mental health conditions. We surely recognize the need to have a heightened awareness of those around us who are suffering. We need to help erase the stigma that goes along with suffering. We absolutely need to promote support for those going through the struggles of life issues. We can agree with all of this from the outset, however, as believers we must have a different take on this as a whole."

On Sunday, May 4th, we had an enjoyable time fellowshipping around God's word as we partook in communion during our First Sunday Fellowship and then in our Morning Worship service focused on a Biblical view of Mental Health.

Pastor focused our hearts and minds on Ephesians 4:11-24 as he spoke on "Building Up One Another in Christ." We looked at this Big Idea: God has called the church to be actively building one another up in our faith so that we will have soul stability.

Pastor brought our attention to 8 ways that we can edify others in our church community.

What about the good people? Are there people deserving of God’s grace? The faithful pastor or missionary? The widow who faithfully gives or prays? The missionary that dies for his faith? The individual who gives large quantities of money to the church? The one who studies and memorizes the Bible? Are these deserving of God’s grace?

Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. She conceived and bore a son and said, “God has taken away my reproach.” And she called his name Joseph, saying, “May the Lord add to me another son!” Genesis 30:22-24

On Sunday, April 27th, We had an amazing time of fellowship and worship as we gathered around God's word. Pastor spoke to us about "Grace for the Good People" and we saw in Gensis 30:1-24 that even though we may "Have it all" it doesn't mean that we are ever deserving of God's grace. Rachel demonstrated this in 3 specific areas that Pastor challenged our heats with.

BIG IDEA: God’s grace is never deserved or earned.
•God is no mans debtor. God never owes anyone. Everything that God does on our behalf is ALWAYS an act of His grace.

Our Block Clean-up event is this Sunday following our Morning Service. Come to church in your work clothes and help connect with our community as we go out into our neighborhood and clean up the streets.

We would love to have you join us on Sunday, April 27th for Coffee & Fellowship at 10a.m. & our Morning Worship Service at 11a.m.

Psalm 27:4 our memory verse for April says, "One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple."

This verse challenges our hearts and minds to choose the Lord and seek after him our whole life. We need to look at the beauty God has made of our life and constantly search for His purpose & plan. As verse 3 says "we can be confident" even when things are not pleasant and we are facing adversity, but we can also dwell in the safety of God and know that He is always working for His glory and our good.
